Maybe We Don’t Need to Pick a Side

I didn’t really think about whether technology was good or bad until the big coming of AI. Everyone has been talking about it. Some applaud it, some resist it. It almost feels like you have to pick a side, or else you’re left in this grey area of anxiety, fear, and feeling left out.

I felt that fear too. Not just from myself, but from the world. For a period of time, I found myself leaning toward the side of “AI is maybe not a great invention.” It could even be… evil.

But there was always this quiet voice in the back of my head asking, really?

The moment I decided to actually learn about AI, something shifted. The fear slowly turned into curiosity. And eventually, it brought me to where I am now.

I came to a simple conclusion. AI is a tool. It’s an invention. It’s not good or evil. It depends on the intention behind it. A good mind will use it to enhance life. An unclear or harmful mind may use it to benefit itself or hurt others.

Intention matters. Technology can bring us closer to ourselves, or further away from who we are.

It can make life easier, faster, more efficient.
But it can also disconnect us if we let it take over without awareness.

I don’t think AI is here to replace us.
If anything, it’s here to reveal us.
